Knowledge -- Prevention -- Rejuvenation
Our Anti-Aging programs utilize a three-pronged
approach: Firstly, we equip the patient with the
knowledge that is required to take charge of
their health and achieve optimal well-being. Secondly,
we focus on disease prevention by
providing a thorough evaluation using comprehensive
diagnostics and the information provided on the
patient's health history form. And finally, we work with
patients to implement a rejuvenation
program that consists of various science-based
treatments that reduce cellular degeneration, promote
tissue regeneration and healing as well as slow down the
aging process. We do NOT replace the role
of the family physician, instead we work with primary
care physicians, internists and other medical
professionals to provide the optimum in integrated care.
We
consider each and every individual as physiologically
unique, and we do not subscribe to a "one size fits all"
approach. Our programs focus on a customized approach
that will address risk factors that, if avoided or
modified, could have beneficial effects for reducing the
incidence of and premature mortality from the leading
chronic conditions. Our vision is to provide the latest
in scientifically-validated therapies for reversing the
aging process, preventing chronic disease and optimizing
health.
The three core services that comprise our Anti-Aging
Program are listed and further described below:
-
Anti-Aging Medical Assessment
-
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement
Therapy (BHRT) Program
-
Metabolic Rejuvenation Program (MRP)
Anti-Aging Medical Assessment:
The assessment begins with a one hour initial
consultation that includes a thorough review of the
patient's past medical history, family history,
lifestyle choices, nutritional intake and present
symptoms. A comprehensive work-up is ordered which may
include blood testing, saliva testing and hair or
urinary analysis. A follow-up appointment is scheduled
to review test results and institute a personalized
treatment plan. Treatment regimens may incorporate
bioidentical hormone therapy (BHRT), nutritional
supplements, herbal therapies, diet, exercise and
lifestyle changes all designed to help to optimize the
patient's health, well-being and longevity. Depending
upon the age and medical condition of each patient,
referrals are provided for tests such as ECG & exercise
tolerance tests, prostate, testicular and pelvic
ultrasound tests, colonoscopies, mammograms, bone
density testing, and others. Blood and saliva testing
are repeated frequently to help ensure that the hormones
stay in optimum balance.
The traditional medical practice typically focuses on
diagnosing disease and prescribing a pharmaceutical
intervention for the disease. Our Anti-Aging Medical
Assessment is designed to focus on the patient's
individual risk factors, the root of the disease process
and the implementation of science-based programs that
are focused on disease prevention.
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)
Our BHRT is designed to treat Individuals who suffer
from PMS, menopausal symptoms, andropausal symptoms,
loss of sex drive, chronic fatigue, insomnia, anxiety,
depression, headaches, weight gain, persistent pain, or
many other common conditions associated with hormone
imbalance. We use FDA approved bioidentical hormones
whenever possible; however, when a dosage or strength
that the patient requires is not commercially available,
we use a compounding pharmacy to prepare an
individualized prescription. Our BHRT program provides
many benefits including:
-
Restored hormone balance and relief
of related symptoms
-
Improved heart health
-
Increased bone production and
prevention of osteoporosis
-
Enhanced energy and sex drive
-
Reduced wrinkles and improved skin
tone
-
Improved mental sharpness and better
memory
Metabolic Rejuvenation Program (MRP)
Through our MRP, we provide patients with the knowledge,
coaching, monitoring and motivation to make changes in
nutrition, stress management, and exercise levels.
Additionally, the
program is designed for individuals that range from
normal weight to the slightly or moderately overweight.
When indicated, we use prescription weight loss medications and
we do regularly monitor body composition in addition to
total weight. Although the program is tailored to
each individual's needs it typically
includes:
-
Use of natural products that
help jump start your metabolism, burn more calories
and reduce body fat
-
Meal plan recommendations that focus
on low-glycemic-index meals and fully support the
metabolic rejuvenation program
-
Nutritional supplementation
-
Body composition testing
-
Incorporating appropriate levels of
physical activity/exercise
