Restylane^®

Restylane is a transparent gel that is injected into facial tissues to smooth wrinkles and folds, especially around the nose and mouth. The results can last 6 months or more.

Restylane is the leading dermal filler and is a crystal-clear, biodegradable NASHA (Non- Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid) gel which is injected just below the surface of the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The result is the instantaneous addition of volume and/or structure to improve fine lines and wrinkles, producing a long-lasting, natural enhancement, which is gentle and safe to the skin.

Since it was launched in 1996, Restylane has undergone extensive histological and clinical studies which support its ease of use, tolerability and effectiveness. Today, Restylane is FDA approved for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and more than 1,500,000 treatments have been successfully carried out worldwide. Restylane requires no pre-testing, but patients should avoid using aspirin, or any non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication, St. John’s Wort, or high doses of vitamin E supplements prior to treatment, because these may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site. Results frequently last six months but individual results vary.
